Our visitor centre is open on selected dates throughout the year. Visit our 'Open Days' menu for dates and more info.

 

Owl experiences, Hawk walks, Falconry days, Bird of prey encounters, courses and private bookings are held on all other days throughout the year.

At the North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre, we only open the doors to our visitors centre on selected dates each year.

 

Gates open from 10am until 4.30pm and allows free re-entry all day.

See below for our line up of events and timings throughout the day.

Gates open at 10am

 

10.00am - 1.00pm - Bird of Prey Handling (main arena)

Hold a bird of prey yourself, get up close to these amazing creatures. £2 a hold.

 

10.30am - Raccoon feed and talk (raccoon enclosure)

Come and watch our cheeky raccoons enjoy their food, talk to the keepers and find out about their amazing characters and adaptations.

 

11.00am - Pellet dissection and talk (main arena)

Ever wondered what's inside owl pellets? How they are made? Which other birds make them? Join us for our educational talks and real pellet dissections! Learn where they come from and how they are made.  You can even tell what they've had to eat!  You'll also be able to see some other interesting objects such as real bird of prey eggs and real snake skins!

 

11.30am - Coatis feed and talk (coati enclosure)

Come and watch our mischievous coatis enjoy their food, talk to the keepers and find out about their amazing characters and adaptations.

 

12.00pm - Red fox feed and talk (red fox enclosure)

Come and watch our loveable foxes enjoy their food, talk to the keepers and find out about their amazing characters and adaptations.

 

1.00pm - Flying display (main arena)

Watch our magnificent owls, hawks and kestrels take to the skies in our spectacular flying display.

 

2.00pm - Meerkat feed and talk (meerkat enclosure)

Come and watch our iconic meerkats enjoy their food, talk to the keepers and find out about their amazing characters and adaptations.  Can you spot our five baby meerkats?

 

2.00pm - 3.00pm - Fly a Bird of Prey yourslef (main arena)

The unique and unforgettable chance to fly a bird of prey yourself.  Our owls will take your breath away as they gracefully fly to your gloved hand and land gently on your fist. An opportunity not to be missed!. £4 a go

3.00pm - Pellet dissection and talk (main arena)

 

3.30pm - 4.30pm - Free Reptile handling

From snakes to geckos, to chameleons, monitor lizards and more!

 

Don't leave without visiting our shop and picking up your merchandise and souvenirs!

 

4.30pm Gates close

 

 

 

All other events such as experience days, private bookings and

educational talks are available all year round.

Children/Concessions £3.50
